David Ndii's Wife Sends Message to Uhuru

NASA's Chief Strategist David Ndii was arrested on Sunday evening in Kwale County and his wife has come out to send an urgent message to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking during a press conference in Mombasa on Monday morning, Mrs Mwende Gatabaki stated that she did not know the whereabouts of her husband and last saw him when he was being arrested.

She reminded President Kenyatta of how he (the President) wrote to the African Development Bank to seek her services in creating a national database.

"Uhuru sent a request to the President of the African Development Bank to ask me to lead the presidential digital transformation of government.

"A project he started after the Westgate attack to help fight the Al Shabaab.

"Where is that gentleman who asked me to come and create a single source of truth to create transparency?" she asked.

Mrs Gatabaki reiterated that her husband was not a criminal and was being treated unfairly.

"This is not transparency. My husband is not a criminal. He is not corrupt," she added.

Ndii's wife also revealed that two of the men who came to pick her husband had guns and attempted to prevent him from making calls.

She further revealed that police would have locked her up were it not for the intervention of Raila Odinga's daughter Winnie Odinga.
