Jubilee Chief Whip Benjamin Washiali has dismissed three Members of Parliament allied to the party from parliamentary committees.
In letters seen by Kenyans.co.ke, Washiali stated that MPs Alfred Keter (Nandi Hills), Alexander Kosgey (Emgwen) and David Bowen (Marakwet East) had been relieved of their duties in their respective parliamentary committees.
Washiali further maintained that the decision was reached due to the legislator's failure to comply with the party’s mandate.
“As per standing order no 176 (2), I hereby discharge the member in reference from the committee of Labour and Social Welfare immediately,” read the letter addressed to Keter.

“The leadership of Jubilee Party in Parliament has given the member adequate opportunity as per Standing order No. 176 (1),” the letter added.
However, when contacted by Kenyans.co.ke, Washiali stated that he had updated the letters but failed to disclose the new information.
“The letters are not fake I wrote them. However, they have been updated and waiting to be presented to the speaker,” Washiali stated.
President Uhuru Kenyatta had directed Jubilee MPs to elect his preferred line-up of chairpersons and deputies of various parliamentary committees.
Keter and his Sirisia counterpart, John Waluke protested the line-up especially those nominated to serve in the prestigious PSC.
