Video Emerges of Governor Sonko Crying Over This Song

A video has emerged online of Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko crying while watching Eunice Njeri's Gospel Music Video titled "Najua."

The video seen by Kenyans.co.ke was uploaded by the Gospel artist on her official Instagram account showing the Governor engrossed in a worship and thanksgiving session.

"Mike Sonko worships to one of my songs.... #JesusIsAlive!!! Take a moment to remember God," she wrote on Tuesday.

In the video, the governor can be heard singing along to the video in a low tone.

The lyrics of the song which have a repetitive yet captivating phrase describes the eminence of God and his greatness.

"Najua Mkombozi wangu anaishi  (which loosely translates to I know my Redeemer lives)" part of the lyrics state.

Earlier on Tuesday, High Court Judge Msagha Mbogholi threw out a petition challenging the election of  Nairobi Governor.

The court further ordered the two petitioners to pay a total of Sh5 million to the Governor and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

The petitioners had earlier on Tuesday filed an application to withdraw the petition.

This came a day after a witness was allegedly threatened.

Japheth Muroko was scheduled to give evidence in the case, but his lawyer Anthony Oluoch explained his absence, divulging that he was recording a statement at Kilimani Police Station.
