Keriako Tobiko Announces Person to Take Over DPP's Office

Former Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Keriako Tobiko on Thursday announced the person who would take over his previous position at the ODPP.

Mr Tobiko stated that Public Prosecution Secretary Dorcas Owuor would take charge in an acting capacity before his successor was appointed.

"Oduor will take charge of the office as we await the process of getting a new Director of Public Prosecution," he stated.

Mr Tobiko made this statement after he received a nomination to the cabinet from President Uhuru Kenyatta last week.

He clarified that the move would ensure that operations go on smoothly at the prosecution office.

"My exit leaves no vacuum at the ODPP, " Tobiko noted.

The former DPP took pride in how the office experienced tremendous growth during his tenure.

Mr Tobiko was nominated to the Cabinet alongside Former Turkana Senator  John Munyes and Former Marsabit Governor Ukur Yattan.

During his Friday briefing, the President divulged that he had forwarded the names of the three to the Speaker of  the National Assembly.
