2 Things Edith Nyenze Will Do For Kitui West Residents When Elected

Edith Nyenze, the wife of the late Kitui West Member of Parliament Francis Nyenze, has on Wednesday stated the things she intends to do when elected to office.

Speaking to NTV, Mrs Nyenze disclosed that she will focus her energies on finishing the projects her husband had started, which includes the completion of primary and secondary schools.

She also expressed that she intends to unite the warring people from the Mutonguni and Matinyani divisions.

Nyenze asserted that people from the divisions are from the same constituency and should, therefore, not be fighting, as it will derail their development.

"We want to come up with ways of uniting the two divisions so that we may move forward," she noted.

Mrs Nyenze won the Wiper Party ticket on Tuesday defeating her main rival, Kitili Maluki, during the nominations.

She garnared 13,388 votes against Muluki's 2,663 votes.

In the interview, she highlighted that she is is a leader in her own right and she won because she had a strong campaign team.

"I will not deny that Francis Nyenze was my husband, and if there is any good that will come with it, i will not deny it," she commented when asked if she won on account of people's sympathy of losing her husband.
