Marwa Orders Closure of Strip Clubs in Mombasa

Coast Regional Coordinator Nelson Marwa on Friday ordered for the closure of all strip clubs in Mombasa.

Speaking to the press, Marwa stated that Mombasa has adequate officers who will ensure that the order is implemented.

According to the Coordinator, the clubs have a tendency of allowing minors to access strippers’ sections which is against the law.

He highlighted that they shall not watch as the moral of the county gets degraded.

Marwa commented that his officers will start with those clubs situated in Nyali.

The no-nonsense officer also instructed the contractors who were tasked with constructing roads to ensure they finish up their project within the stipulated timelines.

"Contractors building roads in the region to hurry up and finish their job within the timelines," he noted.

Marwa added that the Coast region is safe as all critical facilities, including the airport and ferries, have been secured.

In his address, he insisted that state officials should ensure that Kenyans get value for their money in all the services they seek to get in all institutions in the region.

The government had ordered the shut down of all strippers' clubs in Mombasa County during the festive season.
