What Will Happen if I'm Hit With Travel Ban - Raila

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga on Saturday dismissed fears that he would be hit with international travel bans if he proceeded with the plan to be sworn in as the People's President on January 30.

Speaking at a People's Assembly meeting in Homa Bay, the former Premier divulged that some of his friends abroad had warned him that he would be considered a rebel in some quarters and banned from travelling to certain countries.

Raila, however, maintained that he was not worried about that, stating: "I don't have to travel out of Kenya. I'm more concerned with electoral justice in Kenya."

NASA Co-Principal Musalia Mudavadi who spoke at the same forum affirmed that they had reached the point of no return.

He stated that they had convinced Raila to drop the plan twice before, but it had become impossible to cancel it due to public pressure.

"We restrained Raila and told him hold on first, in November. We went further, restrained him on 12th, we told him be patient.

"He said I can listen, but momentum is becoming intense," Mudavadi disclosed.

Mudavadi went on to state that public pressure had become too much and noted that the event could not be postponed any longer.

"Brake imekatika (The brakes have snapped)," he declared.

Raila also challenged the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to open their servers and disprove their claims that Raila had won the August 8 poll.

"We have now accessed the server.

"If IEBC disputes them (NASA's alleged results), let them produce what they consider to be authentic results," Raila reiterated.
