Uhuru Holds Meeting With 5 African Presidents in Addis Ababa

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday was among five African Presidents holding an important meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The forum was attended by Ethiopia Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn, Uganda's Yoweri Museveni, Rwanda's Paul Kagame, President of Niger Issoufou Mahamadou and Macky Sall of Senegal.

On a day when National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga took the oath as the People's President, Kenyatta has remained out of the country.

The President attended the Africa Business and Investment Forum in Addis Ababa.

The roundtable meeting had the Kenyan President speaking about increasing power supply in Africa using cross-border networks.

The summit, a first of its kind in the African Union, allows governments and the Private Sector to establish a strong partnership in building Africa.

"Let's pave the way for the private sector to do the things that we as governments are not supposed to be doing. We want to open up our space for you - the private sector - to do what is economically necessary in Africa," Kenyatta stated.

He asserted in the forum that: "We are not looking for help, we are looking for partners"

Odinga has, however, since been sworn-in as the right People's President after taking the oath of office.

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and co-principals Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi were missing from the event despite earlier stating they were holding a crisis meeting after the government shut down all major TV stations.
