Details of Miguna's Plan to Return to Kenya

National Resistance Movement (NRM) General Miguna Miguna has revealed that plans are underway to ensure he returns to Kenya as soon as possible.

The lawyer, who was last week deported to Canada, disclosed that his legal team had already filed a petition at the High Court challenging the invalidation of his citizenship by the Department of Immigration.

“As we speak, my lawyers filed a petition today in the High Court seeking to invalidate the purported decision of withdrawing my citizenship,” he stated.

In an interview done from his Toronto office, Miguna further noted that he expected the State to defy orders issued by the court but noted that it would not deter him from making his way back to the country.

“I’ve just received reports that Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto are saying that it doesn’t matter how many orders I obtain.

"I may obtain a million orders but they will never allow me back to Kenya. My message to Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto is this, Kenya does not belong to you and I’ll be back. Sorry,” he declared.

The controversial advocate and former Nairobi Gubernatorial candidate's Runda home was recently stormed by over 30 police officers.Miguna claimed that they bombed their way in.

He was then taken into police custody for six days before he was charged.

Despite having been arrested in Nairobi, he was charged in a Kajiado court with, along with 2 more counts; 'purporting to bind Raila Amollo Odinga to commit a capital offence namely treason'.

Although the High Court ordered for his release, Miguna was on Tuesday night placed on a flight to Canada as the Government claimed he had renounced his Kenyan citizenship.
