The High Court revoked the deportation of self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna on Thursday and the outspoken lawyer immediately called for the deportation of First Lady Margaret Kenyatta.
Through a tweet, Miguna stated that Margaret and President Uhuru Kenyatta's cousin, Annah Nyokabi, hold dual citizenship.
"The DESPOT @UKenyatta should begin by deporting his wife MARGARET KENYATTA a dual citizen of Germany & Kenya & his cousin ANNAH NYOKABI GATHECHA former KIAMBU WOMEN REP who is a DUAL CITIZEN of Canada & Kenya before he touches #MigunaMiguna," he stated.

Miguna was deported to Canada in unclear circumstances after reports emerged that he had renounced his citizenship.
The government, on the other hand, has stated that it will appeal the revocation of Miguna's deportation, stating that it acted within the law.
Through a press statement seen by Kenyans.co.ke, Interior PS Karanja Kibicho maintained that as much as the government respects the court's decision, Miguna's deportation was lawful.
"In as much as the government respects the court's decision, the government still holds its earlier stated view that the deportation of Mr Miguna Miguna was procedural and done in accordance with the law.
"We believe that the ruling by Justice Luka Kimaru which further directs the Director Immigration Services to surrender Mr Miguna’s illegally acquired Kenyan passport to the court within seven days is not in the best interest of the country," read the statement in part.
Kibicho further stated that the government's legal team would appeal soon.
"Going forward, the government’s legal team handling the matter is currently reviewing the High Court ruling and will shortly be appealing this court decision," he remarked.

Miguna took to Twitter to convey his reactions soon after the High Court declared his deportation illegal.
He shared a series of tweets hailing the ruling and reiterated the Opposition wing's commitment to upholding the Kenyan Constitution.
The Canada-based lawyer further thanked his team of lawyers for their efforts toward the ruling.
