Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago's Stern Warning to Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter

Uasin Gishu Governor, Jackson Mandago, on Sunday sent a stern warning to troubled Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter.

Speaking during a prayer service in Turbo constituency, Mandago stated that no one will be allowed to derail DP William Ruto's 2022 Presidential bid.

“We are warning some rebel MPs in Rift Valley who are trying to put hurdles along the way in their scheme to scuttle DP’s smooth ride as the Jubilee Party front-runner in 2022.

“We are telling Keter and his disgruntled colleagues to stop causing squabbles and wrangles in Jubilee Party and declare their presidential candidate for 2022.

“Rift Valley has no two roads leading to 2022. We only have one highway straight and clear. We will not allow anyone to stand in our way,” charged Mandago.

His sentiments were echoed by Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi who added that they will deal with anyone who tries to go against Jubilee Party.

"Anyone who will go against Jubilee will be dealt with. I am ready to deal with them even before the message gets to the DP," he remarked.

The leaders were aiming jibes at Keter, whom they accused of undermining Ruto's chances of ascending to the Presidency.

The outspoken Keter was on Friday arrested by plainclothes police at the former Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) grounds.

The MP was apprehended with two others on grounds of allegedly attempting to sell fake treasury bills worth Sh633 Million.

According to details by The Star, the lawmaker claimed that he was set up by the two co-directors of Desai Industries- Madat Chatur and Arthur Sakwa whom he was arrested with.
