Missing KNH Baby Found in Kawangware

A baby who had been reported missing after being taken from his parents at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) has been found in Kawangware, Nairobi on Tuesday.

A woman was caught on CCTV cameras carrying Prince Leo, a 2-week old twin baby out of KNH on Monday.

The woman was found in Kawangware after a good samaritan spotted her.

The woman was identified only as Edna by area residents.

Police had to fire in the air to disperse residents who were angered by Edna for allegedly stealing the child.

The lady was taken to Kawangware Police Station to record a statement.

The baby's father, Mr Job Ouko, explained that he had left the baby with the woman as he wheeled his ailing wife to a hospital room.

The other baby was left with another woman who was with Edna at the time.

It was that woman who alerted Ouko that Edna had left the hospital with Prince.

KNH was recently in the eye of the storm after rape accusations were leveled against workers at the hospital by new mothers.
