Kalonzo Musyoka Advised on Who Will Rescue his 2022 Presidential bid

Wiper Democratic Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka was on Wednesday urged to ditch the National Super Alliance and its leader Raila Odinga.

Speaking to journalists, Machakos elders insisted that Kalonzo ought to join up forces with President Uhuru Kenyatta in order to save his future political aspirations.

The former Mau Mau war veterans counseled the NASA co-principal against being "misused" by Odinga further requesting him to reconsider his stand in the Opposition politics.

The leaders cited that Kalonzo's decision to stay in the opposition camp may derail development in the drought-hit region.

“We love Kalonzo and we want him to come back home. We do not want him to be in the opposition because it was us who fought for independence. Kalonzo was going on well previously, we do not know what or who derailed him along the way,” noted the association chairman, Rev Johnstone Kiiti.

The 84-year old Kiiti also thanked Kalonzo for listening to their advice not to take the controversial oath as the "people's deputy President."

“Come home Kalonzo, you’re not hated, you are loved. You are like our prodigal son,” added the elder.

Last month, the veterans threatened to curse former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama alongside Musyoka should the latter take the oath.

“We, the Mau Mau, have not been consulted in all this, go ahead at your own risk. Your families and relatives will be seeing a lot of punitive changes in their health. It is us who are cursing you, there is no Canaan you are going,” noted the veterans prior to the controversial oathing ceremony held on January 30.

Mr. Kiiti highlighted that the former Vice President had gone through tough times in the opposition ranging from mockery to insults.

The leaders also castigated Odinga as a man whose political agenda is always pegged on selfishness.
