DP William Ruto's Message to Moses Wetangula, Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka

Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday asked National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principals to relent on their hardline positions against former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

DP Ruto explained that the meeting between President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Opposition chief was for the common good of the country.

He further extended an invitation for collaboration to Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula, Musalia Mudavadi and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

"The journey to unite Kenyans began in Nakuru with President Kenyatta and me in 2013. What happened on Friday was a culmination of that effort of bringing Kenyans together.

"I want to tell those who are yet to join us to come so we can take this country forward," the DP told a congregation at the Africa Inland Church (AIC) Church in Njoro, Nakuru County.

He further emphasised that the Presidency was ready to work with Opposition leaders to serve the nation.

"I want to assure you we will unite as leaders to fulfil the Jubilee manifesto," the DP stated.

Leaders who accompanied DP Ruto lauded the move by the President and the NASA leader hailing it as what Kenya needed to heal from political divisions.

"We thank the President and Mr Ruto for fulfilling their promise that Kenyans will never fight again because of political competition," Nyandarua Governor Francis Kimemia stated.

Nakuru Town West Member of Parliament (MP) Samuel Arama reiterated: "We want the remaining ones to join us so that we can focus on development together."

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria who was also present at the church service saluted Mr Odinga's move to unite the political factions.

Other Jubilee party leaders who accompanied the DP include: Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui, Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, MPs Kuria Kimani (Molo), Charity Kathambi (Njoro), Martha Wangari (Gilgil), Joseph Tanui (Kuresoi South), Kimani Ngunjiri (Bahati), Ndindi Nyoro (Kiharu) and Kinuthia Gachobe (Subukia).
