Former President Daniel Arap Moi's photo on Friday emerged on social media platforms days after he was flown for a medical check-up in Israel.
Captioning the photo, Kenya African National Union (KANU) tweeted a message from Baringo Senator Gideon Moi stating: "I wish to sincerely thank all Kenyans for the prayers, messages of solidarity, love, and support.
"Your prayers worked, Mzee was treated and discharged. I wish to assure everyone that former President Moi is doing well and we are thankful to God for that."

The former Head of State was on Thursday discharged from Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv where he underwent a series of check-ups.
According to a statement released by the former Head of State's Kabarak office on Thursday, Moi will be on his way home soon.
"The former president has been released from the hospital after doctors gave him a clean bill of health. He had a medical check-up on his knee which had been causing him discomfort," read the statement.
His long-serving press secretary Lee Njiru told the Nation that the former president is in a jovial mood, in good spirits and will visit some holy and historical sites in Israel before returning home.
Moi flew out of the country on March 11, in the company of his physician, Dr David Silverstein, and his son, the Baringo Senator.
On Wednesday, the government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, dismissed as fake news information circulating on social media about the state of health of Mzee Moi.
The Ministry stated that the former president's medical check-up had been highly successful.
