James Orengo Reveals What NASA Will Do After Moses Wetangula Removal as Minority Leader

Siaya Senator James Orengo on Tuesday revealed three steps that National Super Alliance (NASA) would take after Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula was ejected as the Minority leader whip.

Speaking during an interview Citizen TV's The Big Question, Orengo who took over as the house leadership stated that the decision could be reversed if the opposition parties sought to.

"The decision we made today is not frozen in time. It can be changed. All these matters have been put on the table. I believe we will have an amicable solution at the end of the day," he explained.

He conveyed that there was a disconnect between a person to be in leadership at the NASA summit level and also at Senate level stating: "It is not easy to play such a dual role."

He further stated: "I had a meeting with all the NASA principals today, and we will still meet on Thursday to put the events of  Tuesday into context."

In regard to the unity pact between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, the Siaya Senator added that it was not prudent for the other principals to meet with the president at the moment.

"At the moment, I think many people being at the table for talks will confuse the project. Let the two leaders meet, then the rest will come in later

"At this early stages, I think it is right and proper that Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga met. In later talks, other principals will be included," he stated.

When asked about what was in store for ODM supporters, the senator stated: "Our reform agenda is still intact. We have gone back to our supporters to explain what all these new developments mean."

Orengo opined that the political class viewed the Constitution 2010 as a ceasefire document, to temporarily rid the country of problems that arose in 2007.

"As long as we do not address the real challenges, that constitution will still not help us," he elucidated.
