Lawyer Miguna Miguna's deportation is imminent if he fails to sign citizenship forms issued by the Immigration Department.
Speaking exclusively to Kenyans.co.ke, Interior Ministry Communications Director Mwenda Njoka affirmed that the government's last recourse will be to deport the self-declared NRM general.
" We sent the documents to him to sign but he failed to do that and unnecessarily became a drama queen," Njoka stated.
"He has a choice whether to sign the documents or not but we hope he does. Some people are talking to him to sign the documents," he added.

The Interior Communication's Director clarified that Miguna was not being deported to Dubai rather the government would ensure he reached Canada where he is a citizen.
Miguna's lawyer Cliff Ombeta stated that his client would not apply for Kenyan citizenship afresh "because it would mean that he will be agreeing that the government was right about his citizenship."
Ombeta told journalists at JKIA: "He should be allowed to enter Kenya on the strength of the court order."
The lawyer added: "The government wants him to use his Canadian citizenship to justify their actions, they want him to get a Visa so that he is given time limits."
He further argued that the court ordered the government to facilitate Miguna's return and "give him documents", not to apply for new ones.
