Jeff Koinange's Wednesday's JKL Show will Have Pre-Recorded Interview with Prof Makau Mutua

Renowned TV personality Jeff Koinange was on Wednesday forced to explain how the JKL interview was conducted after posting that he would host Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) Chairman Makau Mutua.

Through his Twitter account, the Citizen TV anchor, who is out of the country in Hamburg Germany for a trip as the brand ambassador of Shell, addressed how the show would still be aired in his absence.

"If it's Wednesday, it's all about #JKLive @citizentvkenya at 9 PM. Tonight, a different perspective from a man who's on the outside looking in. @makaumutua weighs in on the 'New' Political Landscape. Spread the word! It's going to be Smmmmmmmokin!" he posted.

Knowing of Jeff's whereabouts one user asked: "Have you flown back to the country?"

"But this is a recorded one true or false" one user stated.

Jeff was therefore forced to admit that the interview set to air on Wednesday night was indeed recorded two days ago.

His revelation received mixed reactions as some were critical of the move maintaining: "Jeff, in thought we agreed there will be no pre-recording of @LiveJkl. It makes the show dull, boring, lackluster, lacks interactivity and too rehearsed. If you are not available, just let the show take a simple break."

Another user was of a contrary opinion declaring: "Give @KoinangeJeff some credit. There's no harm in prerecording a show."

Earlier on Monday, Koinange found himself in a rare position to witness immigration officials trying to force Miguna Miguna into a Dubai-bound flight.

Jeff who got exclusive footage of the exchange between Miguna and the officials confessed that he was on the flight on his way to Germany.

He further revealed that he would not be present for the live recording of his Wednesday show adding that anchor Anne Kiguta would stand in for him to deliver the news.
