Moses Kuria Implicates Jimi Wanjigi in Miguna Miguna's Detention

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Wednesday claimed that NASA leader Raila Odinga's ally Jimi Wanjigi was the man behind self-declared NRM general Miguna Miguna's detention upon his arrival on Monday.

Through his social media, the Jubilee legislator stated that Wanjigi had planned the drama to put Odinga in a confrontational position.

"Which country would allow someone entry on a document other than what they used to board the plane? How come Canada is not complaining about their citizen? They know this is sheer madness.

"This whole drama was planted by Jimi Wanjigi to put Raila Odinga in a spot," he wrote on Facebook.

Earlier on Monday, Wanjigi accompanied Odinga to JKIA where they unsuccessfully sought Miguna's release.

As a nine-hour stand-off persisted following Miguna's return to Kenya which was rejected by the Government, Wanjigi asked the police to open the door of the room where Miguna was being held with Siaya Senator James Orengo and other members of his legal team.

"I also want to be arrested. Please arrest me. Just open the door and put me under custody.

"My friend, this is not a jail this is Kenya. Don't spoil a good country. Open and jail me also please," Wanjigi pleaded.

The police on the other side refused to comply as Wanjigi started pushing on the door while Orengo looked on.

On Wednesday, Senator Orengo and Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo were in court arguing to have Miguna released from custody.
