Former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga on Tuesday made a derogatory comment about Probox car owners and faced a lot of stick from Kenyans on Twitter.
Mutunga was responding to Majority Leader Aden Duale who had asked the Somali community to lower bride price and in the process compared dowry to the price of a Probox.
"He (Duale) has compared women to probox, that car popular with crooks and criminals!" stated the former CJ.

This did not go down well with netizens who criticised him for looking down upon genuine hardworking Kenyans.
Probox ni za ma-hustler; wakikulima wadogo. Ni raiya wema, wanaokula jasho yao.
Bentleys, Benzes, Range Rovers, ni za Vinara na tenderpreneurs wa ile uliita "bandit economy".

Owning a Probox doesn't qualify one to be a crook or a criminal bwana CJ. You should think of using a proper example. This one is in bad taste.

Duale was speaking in Eastleigh on Tuesday where he stated that lowering bride price will enable men to marry more wives and get more children thus increasing the number of votes during elections.
“When one approaches to wed a lady, he is asked for $10,000 (Ksh 1 million) worth of bride price. That is ridiculous, what are you buying, a Probox?
“By marrying more wives, we can be stronger and have a larger influence on Kenya’s scene as the Muslim community," he remarked.
