Boni Khalwale Condemns Siaya Senator James Orengo for His Comment During Matiba's Funeral

Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale on Saturday condemned Siaya Senator James Orengo for his utterances during the late veteran politician Kenneth Matiba's funeral service at Ihura Stadium in Murang'a.

Speaking during the homecoming party of Sabatia Member of Parliament (MP) Alfred Agoi, Khalwale stated: "I want to tell my brother Orengo, whom we formed NASA together, that the message he told his boy Atandi, to inform us is not welcomed."

The Ford Kenya party Secretary-General further noted that the Minority Senate leader was wrong to claim that the country can only move forward if the Luos and Gikuyus unite.

The former legislator announced that such declarations have made the Luhya nation to assert their decision on aiming at removing both President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM party leader Raila Odinga from power.

"Such messages are the reason why Luhyas want both Uhuru and Raila to go!" Khalwale announced.

The former lawmaker also dismissed claims that he is fighting Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi

The leader, popularly known as the bullfighter affirmed: "I have nothing against Mudavadi. I actually want Mudavadi and Wetangula to become the best they can be in the Republic of Kenya."

Additionally, he applauded Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula for working towards creating unity amongst Luhya leaders.

The two parties, Ford Kenya and ANC, are claimed to have plans of forming a Luhya merger in preparation for the 2022 presidential elections.

However, their schemes have been harshly criticised by leaders across the political divide.
