3 Most Wanted Terror Suspects Ali Hussein Ali, Ibrahim Abasheikh Mukhtar and Abdi Mohammed Yusuf Arrested in Malindi

The National Police Service has confirmed that they have arrested three most wanted terrorists in Kenya.

The suspects had been linked with ISIS and Al-Shabaab terror groups and the magafe human smuggling network in Libya.

One of the suspects identified as Ali Hussein Ali alias 'trusted one' was also linked to human trafficking and financing terrorism.

The suspect was apprehended together with his accomplices, Ibrahim Abasheikh Mukhtar and Abdi Mohammed Yusuf (aka Dader) in Malindi during a joint operation conducted by security agencies.

Ali Hussein Ali was believed to be the key agent of ISIS and the magafe human smuggling syndicate in the country

Hussein and Mukhtar had reportedly been housing illegal immigrants in lodges in Eastleigh and Malindi before moving them to Libya, Syria and Europe through the Busia- Kampala border and Juba.

Mukhtar, who is a businessman and landlord in Watamu was also an ISIS facilitator.

He was alleged to be using his houses to accommodate the terrorists and recruits who were waiting to be shipped to Libya to join ISIS.

Yusuf was a long distance driver and also a personal driver to Ali and was involved in ferrying the recruits from one destination to another.

According to the Inspector General of police Joseph Bonnet, the suspects would be arraigned in Court next week.
