Doreen Gatwiri Joins NTV

Nation Media Group has hired former Ebru TV Swahili-anchor Doreen Gatwiri.

Kenyans.co.ke can exclusively report that the media personality could be replacing Nimrod Taabu who recently resigned from the media house.

The trained lawyer is reported to be excited to join the team following her stay outside reporting since her resignation from Ebru TV.

Doreen’s career in media started in 2015 when she pursued a training on broadcast and digital media.

Her career then picked up in 2016 when she started working for Kenyan broadcaster Ebru Tv in Nairobi.

Doreen's move comes just days after former Citizen TV news anchor Salim Swaleh confirmed his move to NTV after he quit his job at Royal Media Services (RMS).

In a post seen by Kenyans.co.ke, Swaleh changed his social media profile to include his job at the new workplace.

He is reported to have been assigned as a Senior News Anchor, news producer, and African affairs expert and researcher.

NTV newsroom communication team indicated that the journalist will be unveiled in due time at the station.

“We will release an official statement about his move to Nation Media soon,” a source at NTV indicated.

NMG is claimed to be on a mission of replacing the journalists who have left the media house following the mass exodus of their top anchors in a span of three months.

Managing Editor Linus Kaikai was the first to resign from NTV followed by former Trends presenter Larry Madowo.

Before the dust could settle, popular news anchor Victoria Rubadiri also left the media house joining her former boss, Kaikai at Citizen TV.

The exodus from NTV saw their longest-serving news anchor Jamila Mohamed announce live on air that she was leaving the media house.
