What President Uhuru Kenyatta Wants From Swiss President Alain Berset's Phone

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday tweeted his Swiss counterpart, Alain Berset to share a picture he had taken.

Through his official Twitter account, President Kenyatta asked the Swiss Head of State to share a picture he had taken at KICC.

The tweet read: "Kindly share the picture Mr.President, @alain_berset, #MagicalKenya @KICC_kenya."

However, the President's request was yet to be responded by the time this article went to press.

The Swiss President visited KICC rooftop where he took pictures with Health Cabinet Secretary Sicily Kariuki and KICC CEO Nana Gecaga.

Ms Gacega who was recently elected Deputy Chairperson of the International Congress and Convention Association, African Chapter gave President Berset a present to take back to Switzerland.

Switzerland and Kenya have been fostering good relations for decades since the former was one of the first countries recognize Kenya’s independence in 1963.

President Berset's three-day-state-visit to Kenya aims to broaden bilateral relations between the two countries since Kenya is one of Switzerland's five most important trading partners in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Kenya signed a mutual legal assistance framework with Switzerland for the return of assets acquired from proceeds of corruption and crime.

The new deal signed at State House, Nairobi on Monday is expected to enhance an existing Memorandum of Understanding on the repatriation of proceeds of graft.

Speaking after the signing of the legal assistance framework, the President of the Swiss Confederation Alain Berset, said the agreement will expedite the recovery of proceeds of crime stashed in his country.

“I’m extremely pleased that we’ve signed this framework. This framework will allow Switzerland to return financial assets that have been blocked for example in the Anglo-Leasing case,” he said during a joint media briefing after signing of the pact.
