Malik Obama's Reaction After Wife Was Locked Out of Mama Sarah's Home

Former US President Barack Obama's half-brother Malik Obama has commented on his wife being denied access to Mama Sarah Obama's homestead in Kogelo on Monday.

Speaking after the incident, the controversial brother asserted that the event was for two people, Barrack Obama and (Rita) Auma Obama.

Malik exclaimed: "Rita Auma is not the Obama family. It was her and her brother's affair."

On other family members being denied access to the family during Obama's visit to his grandmother's home, Malik affirmed: "I have no further comments on that."

When questioned why he missed the event, Malik stated: "Did you see me there? No. You only saw Auma and Mama Sarah. No further comments."

Sheila Anyango, Malik's wife, was not allowed into the compound 'as per orders by the security department.'

"There is very limited access and the wife of Malik Obama was denied entry when she tried to access the compound,"  Citizen TV journalist Sam Gituku disclosed on Monday while covering the event.

According to Nation, he was unwilling to comment on the opening of the Suati Kuu Resource Center, further showing his strained relationship with his family.

Malik came to the limelight in 2016 when he campaigned against Obama's Democratic Party candidate Hillary Clinton.

He accused President Obama of ignoring his Kenyan family and the African continent after he was elected the first black president of the US despite using “his Kenyan roots as a strong pillar of his 2008 presidential campaigns."
