A businesswoman from Maua, Meru County was on Friday announced as the winner of an apartment worth Sh7.8 million as part of Safaricom's 'Maisha ni M-Pesa Tu' promotion.
Jeniffer Kathure, a mother of four, became the third person to be handed the keys to a house at Richland Point Apartments off Kamiti Road in Nairobi.
She was warmly welcomed by comedian Chipukeezy, dancers and representatives from Safaricom upon arrival.
The mother of three was unable to hide her excitement as she posed alongside her family at the apartment.
Safaricom's Charles Wanjohi was on hand to present her with the keys and they excitedly cut a ribbon to mark the occasion.

Kathure disclosed that she mostly uses M-Pesa when sending and receiving money for her business.
In addition, she stated that the platform served as her bank and wallet.
Transactions on M-Pesa translate to more points which increase the chances of winning an apartment or cash prizes in the promotion.
A South African designer, Eric Lindberg, was the last winner of one of the apartments.
Four of the spanking new apartments are, however, still up for grabs!
