Highlights From Twaweza Live Concert in Mombasa [VIDEO & PHOTOS]

Award-winning gospel artiste Mercy Masika on Saturday performed during the Twaweza Live concert at the Mombasa Sports Club.

Her set was arguably one of the best of the night as she adopted quite an interesting and never before seen concept to her performance.

In addition to the captivating renditions of her hit songs, the Shule Yako hitmaker used 3D projection Mapping With LED and lights choreography on her dress that sent her performance over the top.

Exploring her creativity as an artiste, Mercy used the light show to complement her passionate performance much to the delight of her fans.

"What a colourful and glamorous show on the stage set by @MercyMasika Amazingly beautiful" one fan maintained.

Another referenced the lyrics of her song Huyu Yesu stating; "Akikuahidi, kwa wakati atimiza Anavyokuita, ndivo ulivyo (When he promises, he will fulfill) @MercyMasika last night was heavenly!"

"What a therapeutic voice! Go Mama Go Mama " one user encouraged.

The concert, run by Kenya's giants in event organising MoSound, also brought together notable Kenyan artistes. King Kaka and Fena Gitu took the stage donned in royalty gear to perform their hit collabo Run Ting.

As is the norm, the winner of the local talent auditions in the musician category Sly Kheri got to perform together with Fena.

The concert also featured coast-based stars Susumila and Bango legend Mzee Ngala whose amazing performance included his top hits and a special performance of 'Dunia Ina Mambo'

A surprise performance came in the form of Tanzanian artiste Harmonize who was also present for the Blaze BYOB summit on Friday.

The revellers have treated the funny antics of Ngujush who dressed up as Jack Narrow; Pirates of the Malindian.

The Coast edition kicked off two weeks ago with various activities including base station and dealer outlets launches, a free medical camp, CSR activities, campus takeovers and a local talent search competition. It also featured youth mentorship programs courtesy of the BLAZE BYOB summit.

The main concert on Saturday attracted close to 20,000 people with the entertainment lineup featuring the likes of Redsan, Kris Darlin and Nyashinksi. 

To top it all up Deejays Joe Mfalme and Deff kept the crowd dancing until 6 AM.

The campaign which began in May will culminate in November and focuses on making a positive impact in the lives of Kenyans by delivering relevant products and services, providing world-class entertainment and ensuring that impactful investments are made in different communities across the country.

This was the third edition of the Twaweza Live Experience which will now move to the lakeside city of Kisumu then Machakos and finally conclude in Nairobi.
