Governor Anne Waiguru Declares Her Net Worth

Kirinyanga Governor Anne Waiguru on Wednesday night, during a television interview, claimed that she is worth Sh300 million only.

The governor who was hosted on Citizen TV's JKL explained her side of the story after claims from members of the public that her worth is more than Sh300 million.

The Jubilee politician further voiced her support on the lifestyle audit ordered by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

During the interview, she clearly stated that the Ethics Anti-Corruption Commission did a lifestyle audit on her and did not mind if they made it public.

“I own houses in Kihingo, Runda, property in Mlolongo, half an acre in Lukenya and Sagana,” remarked Waiguru.

Waiguru, who has been on the spotlight over corruption claims, explained that some of the property she owns were acquired way before she got into politics.

The governor revealed that she developed the property in Mlolongo through bank loans which she is still repaying.

The tough-talking Waiguru denied claims of corruption stating that every person is entitled to their opinion.

“They can believe what they want to believe. Someone pushed a narrative about corruption and have difficulty swallowing it,” stated the Kirinyaga governor

This comes after Waiguru was named the second most corrupt individual after Deputy President William Ruto in a poll done by IPSOS.

She vowed to sue the company and termed the research as a way to try and bring her down.

“My political detractors are working in cohort with Synovate to malign my name under the guise of a survey which is not only imaginary but cooked up to suit the interests of those behind it,” uttered Waiguru.
