Slain businesswoman Monica Kimani was murdered shortly after returning from a trip to Juba, South Sudan where she was running a cleaning business.
According to her family, Monica was engaged to be married by a big shot manager from the South Sudan city identified as Yasir Mohammed.
Paul Ngarama, the deceased woman's father told journalists that he was aware of Monica's fiance though he had not gotten an opportunity to interact closely with the man.
"I have scanty information about him but I know he comes from Sudan," he told reporters.
Monica's brother, George Kimani, described Yasir in detail adding that his sister was looking forward and making plans for their wedding soon.
"Yasir is a fun-loving but reserved gentleman who has even been to our Thika home and introduced himself," he described.
He further disclosed that Yasir frequently visited Kenya and other East African nations on business.
The family maintains that a love triangle cannot be the motive behind Monica's murder though police officers have not ruled it out after arresting Jowie Kuria Irungu as the prime suspect.
"The man could have been angry. He may have acted out of rage over their love escapades," an officer mentioned.
Another officer investigating the incident added: "It could be other issues from South Sudan or Dubai."
Monica was the managing director of Millpaul General Trading Limited which operated from Juba cleaning for high profile clients such as UAP Insurance at Equatorial Towers.
