Drama at Churchill Show Recording as Kajiado Senator is Kicked Out

Kajiado County Senator Phillip Mpayei came under sharp public criticism after an alleged misconduct during a Churchill Show recording over the weekend.

The criticism emerged after a video showing the Senator and his security team being thrown out of the event by Churchill TV Show at the Hornbill Club in Rongai.

The recording dubbed the Diaspora Edition went down on Saturday when the senator is alleged to have caused drama, prompting the forceful ejection from the VIP dais.

Mpayei is reported to have arrived at the social event drunk and caused disturbance to other revelers forcing bouncers to kick him out.

In the video, the security team is seen struggling with the Senator and two other men in what nearly turned into a fight.

A woman is heard asking the club's security team not to hurt the men but have them leave in an orderly manner as the audience stared in disbelieve.

The Rongai recording was part of the production's One Laugh Tour which has already lined up Narok and Kisii towns as hosts in the upcoming events.

The Diaspora Edition had a beauty pageant moment where Miss Kajiado County was unveiled.

Senator Mpayei chairs the Senate Committee on National Cohesion, Equal Opportunity and Regional Integration. He is also a member of the Senate committee on roads and transport.

Here is the video of the dramatic scenes when the senator was dragged out of the event:
