CS Fred Matiang'i Suspends Leave for All Workers at His Ministry for National Examinations

Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang'i on Monday morning suspended leaves for all workers at his ministry in regards to the upcoming National Examinations.

Speaking at the Kenya Institute Of Curriculum Development (KICD), Matiang'i stated that his team will work overtime to ensure that the examination process goes smoothly as planned.

"We will all be on duty. We are not telling you something we would not do ourselves. We will be everywhere to make sure we support our children," remarked Matiang'i.

He further highlighted that strict security will be provided to ensure no cases of cheating or leakage during the process.

"This year we will deal with you with actual precision if you actually try to interfere with the exams," stated the Interior CS.

The once Education CS condemned those parents who had tried to obtain leakages terming them as bad role models who let their children down through the criminal act.

Matiang'i pointed out that it was disappointing that the country was still struggling with examination vices that should have ended a long time.

Education CS Amina Mohamed, who was in attendance at the briefing, echoed Matiangi's  comments and stated that those caught breaching the regulations will be arrested and charged on the spot.

Amina further appealed to all parents to refrain from visiting the children until the end of the examination process.

The former CS for Foreign Affairs reiterated that all teachers involved in the process must register with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
