Leopards Terrorise Residents in Ol Kalau, Nyandarua

Five leopards have been spotted in Ol Kalau area and are now terrorising residents.

The leopards are said to disturb users of a road in Ol Kalou and members of the Passenga Village in Nyandarua County.

Speaking on the incident, the area chief Daniel Muniu advised all the residents in the area to keep high vigilance.

He further asked them to stay safe as officers from Kenya Wildlife Service take action over the incidence.

This comes three days after a pride of lions escaped Lake Nakuru National Park.

According to an earlier report by Kenyans.co.ke, the lions had invaded Njoro residency and even killed two cows.

Cases of wild animals escaping from the national parks have been adversely reported in the past with farmers suffering the most.

The lions were reportedly hampering the harvesting season in Nakuru as people complained that they feared visiting their own plantations since the wild animals had settled there.

In June this year, an elephant attacked a village in Tharaka Nithi destroying crops and injuring two people.
