Babu Owino Dares Museveni Over Travel Ban

Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has dared to violate the directions by Uganda President Yoweri Museveni banning him from stepping into Uganda.

Speaking on NTV's, The Wicked Edition, Babu acknowledged that he had seen the sanctions from the Uganda's Minister of Interior Affairs.

"There is a letter than was written from the Interior Minister Uganda clearly stating that I should not step in Uganda, that if I go there, I will not come back," he noted.

He further indicated that the East African Community agreement clearly eliminates restriction of movement of citizens and Business between member countries.

In a likely indication that he would not heed the Ugandan directive, the Embakasi East MP stated that he only fears three things: "God, ODM leader Raila Odinga and bees".

Babu indicated that the future of leadership rests with the youthful population.

The Embakasi East MP is expected to hold a series of events in Uganda alongside his close ally Bobi Wine who he recently hosted in Kenya.

Babu also cautioned leaders against misusing power since like a swinging pendulum, it can easily change hands.

"If we all die of old age, you will likely die first. Imagine what will happen to you in your 90's if we decide to hold you accountable for your misdeeds," he posed.

During Bobi's Nairobi visit, the two launched 'Youth for Africa' movement calling for the young people to be agents of change.

Issuing the ban, however, the Ugandan authorities accused the duo of uttering "inflammatory and seditious words against the democratic and legitimate rule of President Yoweri Museveni".
