2 Women Ambushing Men Leaving Banks Arrested

Officers have arrested two women who are part of a gang of four that have been waylaying people coming from banks and robbing them.

In a statement via their social media, the DCI confirmed that the gang was arrested in Kajiado County.

 "A gang of four that has been waylaying people coming from banks and robbing them of their hard earned cash and other valuables were early today arrested in Kajiado County," the DCI tweeted.

The police urged members so of the public to see if they recognized the suspects noting "If you’re a victim, kindly make a report at your nearest police station or at DCI headquarters."

In a separate incident, detectives acting on information from the public exchanged fire with two armed men in Kayole.

The suspects who were being tracked following reports of a robbery in the area.

"The officers challenged them to stop and surrender but instead they fired at the officers. Detectives returned fire and fatally injured one gangster,"

A Pistol and one round of ammunition were recovered as one gangster managed to escape.

"The other gangster escaped but is being sought by DCI Detectives to face the full wrath of the law," the DCI further revealed.
