The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has exposed George Kinoti’s impostor defrauding Kenyans.
DCI revealed that the fraudster are using Kinoti’s name to swindle innocent Kenyans.
In a tweet sent out on Thursday, the directorate warning members against falling prey to such conmen.

Kenyans who have lost money in the scheme were directed to report to DCI headquarters or any police station.
“We appeal to anyone who may have lost money to the conmen to report to DCI Headquarters or at any Police Station countrywide to assist us in our ongoing investigations on the same.
“Anyone found culpable will be dealt with accordingly,” the tweet cautioned.
This is not the first time conmen have used top government officials’ names and offices to trick civilians.
Two weeks ago, the Director of Public Prosecutions revealed how conmen dupe innocent Kenyans with fake job opportunities at his office.
An official statement stated that the conmen were taking advantage of pupillage and internship opportunities at the office to trick members of public into dishing out money.
Earlier on, Embakasi East Member of Parliament (MP) Babu Owino had warned Nairobians about a man who has been masquerading as a constituency official.
Describing the man as a conman, MP Owino outlined that the man had already swindled Embakasi East constituents claiming to be the Constituency Development Fund Chairman.
