Interpol Boss Tim Morris Visits FBI Operatives in Kenya

The Interpol Executive Director of Police Services Tim Morris has visited the agency’s local operatives in Nairobi following the DusitD2 Complex attack on January 15, 2018.

On Wednesday, the Interpol Boss met the Inspector General (IG) of police Joseph Boinnet and discussed issues on terrorism and other transnational crimes.

Morris wanted to understand how the gang behind the attack operated within the country and the links they had in Somalia.

The IG revealed that they agreed to always share intelligence that could deter such crimes.

“We discussed among others the security challenges facing our region bordering on transnational crimes and the ongoing war against terrorism,” Boinnet disclosed.

Morris's visit was also meant to boost the morale of the operatives.

The operatives were among the international agencies that joined the probe into the attack with an aim to gather data which could be shared with other global agencies.

FBI detectives have been camping at the scene of the attack collecting samples and analyzing the data.
