Exclusive: Adelle Onyango Quits Kiss 100

Sassy Radio presenter Adelle Onyango has quit Kiss 100.

Sources from the Radio Africa-owned station whispered to Kenyans.co.ke that the presenter tendered her resignation letter and is serving her notice that will end in March.

She is reportedly headed to the NGO world after recently launching her very own initiative dubbed "Unapologetically African."

The source further intimated that the management had tried to woo her into staying at the station but she flat out refused the offer.

The celebrated presenter launched her initiative with the aim of giving opportunities to the youth and women in Kenya.

The initiative is centred around empowering the youth, ensuring proper mental health and gender equality.

Our attempts to reach her were, however, futile since she didn't respond to our questions neither did she deny.

Adelle joins her former co-worker Kalekye Mumo who has since parted ways with the station.

Mumo left Kiss 100 in July 2016 after serving many years at the station first as the presenter for the Evening Drive show before moving to the morning slot.

Radio Africa Group’s Chief Executive Officer Patrick Quarcoo revealed, at the time, that the station was instituting long-term changes to grow the Kiss 100 FM and her sister station.

Adelle moved to The Morning Kiss show replacing Mumo who went on to host Talk Central on K24.

She hosts the show with Shaffie Weru.
