Youthful Langata Member of Parliament (MP) Nixon Korir, on Saturday, married his long-term girlfriend Beryl Zoraima at the Karen Blixen Museum in Nairobi.

The high-end wedding was attended by close family members and friends including public figures such as Dagoretti South MP John Kiarie and radio host Jalang’o.

During the run-up to August 8, 2017, general election, Korir was considered an outsider who did not stand a chance of winning a political seat in an area that had been dominated by the opposition for decades.

Zoraima was at the forefront campaigning for her husband's parliamentary seat.

Korir is a Jubilee Party member and a founding chairman of the former URP party. At one time, he worked as Deputy President William Ruto’s personal assistant.

The legislature is also a law graduate and former Student Organisation of Nairobi University (SONU) Secretary-General.

Elsewhere, on 17th November 2018, Samburu West MP Naisula Lesuuda wedded in a lavish ceremony which had high profile guests such as Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, Baringo county senator Gideon Moi, and Citizen TV journalist Jacque Maribe.

The green and gold-themed wedding came months after the two had a traditional wedding that was full of pomp and colour.
