MP William Chepkut Hotel Up for Auction

Royalton hotel, which is owned by Ainabkoi MP, William Chepkut, has been put up for auction.

The auction of the property worth millions was published by Watts Auctioneers, who invited probable buyers to attend a sale event in April.

“Under instructions received from our principals, the charges in exercise of their statutory power of sale, we shall sell the under mentioned property on Friday 12 April at 11am near the general post office, Eldoret Town,” the notice indicated.

The auctioneers indicated the hotel's lodging block comprised a three-storey building.

They added that each floor accommodates self-contained lodging rooms.

The auctioneers continued stating they were holding more auctions due to the rise of borrowers whose assets were seized by lenders.

The MP is also a former personal assistant to the late Cabinet Minister, Nicholas Biwott.

In February, Hotel Lazinos in Nairobi West was also put up for auction by Graham Investments, following a debt owed to a local bank.

The facility was being put up for auction for the second time after it went under the hammer in 2016.
