Court Orders Arrest of Government's Chief Pathologist Johansen Oduor

The court on Wednesday ordered the arrest of Government's Chief Pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor.

Reports by People Daily indicate that Kibera Principal Magistrate Derrick Kuto ordered Kabete OCS to immediately arrest Oduor.

This was over his failure to provide a postmortem report as required by the court.

The report pertained the case of David Waweru who was knocked down in 2012 while cycling along James Gichuru Road.

The magistrate accused the pathologist of wasting the court's and complainants time after ignoring court sessions.

Oduor had reportedly confirmed with the investigating officer and the Prosecution that he would show up at the court only for him to abscond.

The court was against Silvano Mandla Wilhelm who is claimed to have been intoxicated when he hit Waweru.

"It is clear that Dr Oduor is not serious with court sessions. He does not take this matter with the seriousness it deserves and therefore he must be arrested with immediate effect," Magistrate Kuto ruled.

The Magistrate directed the OCS to arrest Oduor on sight- at any function or place- owing to the urgency of the matter.

"Oduor must be arrested immediately to bring to court the postmortem report. I order Kabete OCS to alert his officers to arrest him. He has wasted both my time and the complainant's," Magistrate Kuto quipped.
