National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale is in mourning after he lost two of his family members in a tragic road accident on Friday night.
Duale revealed that he lost his cousin Habiba Sheikh Abdullahi who was travelling together with her daughter Dr. Deyman.
Media reports indicated that the two were involved in an accident along Nairobi-Mombasa highway which also claimed the life of their driver.
He further revealed that he received the sad news on Saturday morning.
"We woke up to sad news following a road accident that took the lives of my cousin sister Habiba Sheikh Abdullahi and her daughter Dr. Deyman.
"We pray to the Almighty God to grant them jaanatul Fordowsa and give comfort and subra to our family," posted Duale on social media.
This comes just months after the outspoken leader lost his sister Arfon Bare Duale after a long illness.
Taking to his social media in October 2018, the Garissa Township MP disclosed that his sister had been battling cancer when she passed away.
Following the news, Kenyans on social media sent their condolences to the legislator.
"I grew up with Deyman and mama Habiba was a mother to all of us. May Allah have mercy on both of them. I'm really shocked by their demise but, as you've mentioned, 'To Allah we belong and To Him we shall return,'" posted Osman Mohamed Osman.
