ODM leader Raila Odinga on Thursday reacted to President Uhuru Kenyatta's State of the Nation Address.
Speaking to journalists outside Parliament, Raila stated that he was reading from the same script as the Head of State on matters fighting corruption.
He echoed the president's sentiments calling for structure in how the investigations were carried out adding that it wasn't the duty of the president to fire anybody.
"I agree with the president but we also need to move with speed in carrying out the investigations and prosecute corrupt individuals. The investigations and prosecution have to have an end and must be within the rule of law," he stated.

He further agreed with the president over the need to clean up the Judiciary in the graft war.
"If you start with a corrupt judiciary, you cannot expect to get proper justice in a country. We must investigate the judiciary as well as everyone else holding office," he stated.
On his part, Kalonzo Musyoka defended the President's position in the war on corruption noting that more needed to be done.
"Uhuru has given a way forward in the graft war. In the fight against corruption, people are expecting prosecutions, people want to see people arrested and behind bars," he stated.
On the other hand, Musalia Mudavadi and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula were critical of Uhuru's address.
Mudavadi stated that Kenyans had every reason to feel disappointed because justice delayed was justice denied.
"I believe that as much as the president is consistent on his narrative but I think there are individuals in his camp who are not pushing for the same agenda," he elucidated.
On his part, Wetangula stated that the handshake was not the solution to Kenya's problems.
"The handshake is not a solution, the solution comes in strengthening independent institutions including IEBC, ODPP, EACC to do their job and serve Kenyans," he stated.
