Mzee Moi Joins Last Minute Rush to Beat Huduma Namba Deadline

Former President Daniel Moi, like many Kenyans, registered for the Huduma Namba on Friday, just a day to the deadline.

He, unlike other Kenyans, had the Huduma clerks visit him at his Kabarak home to conduct the exercise.

The registration team was accompanied by ICT CS Joe Mucheru.

In other parts of the country, the lines at the registration centres only compare to polling stations during election time.

In Nairobi, one of the longest lines was at GPO along Kenyatta Avenue where Kenyans admitted to arriving as early as 5am yet the exercise was scheduled to start at 6am.

When Interior CS Fred Matiang'i visited GPO, he mobilised for more clerks and registration kits to be delivered to ease the pressure.

One of the ladies on the queue is even spotted having brought a hairdresser to work on her head as she waited in line.

The photo was shared by many Kenyans some of whom suggested that maybe she had a wedding on Saturday which is the deadline for registration.

In another video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, citizens at an unknown registration centre were seen fighting in the queue as their patience grew thin.

Despite the CS announcing that the deadline would not be extended, Kenyans will still be able to register by visiting their local chief's office.
