Mandago's Hilarious Advice to 22-Year-Olds Goes Viral [VIDEO]

A video of Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago advising young people not to take life too seriously has gone viral on social platforms.

The county head hilariously dispelled the notion that money automatically solves all life problems.

"There's nothing that assures you that when you have money, you are happy. You can have a lot of money and you can have a lot of stress," he disclosed.

Taking the example of a chicken, Mandago added that there were other creatures that were content with their situations which are less than ideal.

"Relax, hata kuku inalalanga ikisimama. Wewe ukona pressure ya nini na ukona kitanda, na chakula na opportunities bado ni mingi, (The chicken sleeps while standing up and it is okay. You have pressure, yet you have a bed, food and the opportunities are still many out there)" he noted.

Urging young people not to be in a rush to make quick money, he noted that the youth period was long enough for one to achieve their goals in life.

"You are just 22 and you are considered a youth until you turn 35,  and then you turn 40 where now life begins. Why are you rushing, relax!" he advised.

His life advice was met with mixed reactions from a section of Kenyans online.

Some concurred with Mandago, with on stating, "True and Encouraging words from governor there - life is not about having money, relax!"

Others were of a different opinion noting, "Okay, youth we are on our own, and we are the one who normally vote in these fossils."

"If some people here called this verbatim wisdom, then there is a problem indeed. Where is the wisdom here?" another posed.
