Inside Jubilee's Plan to Launch Politics Academy

Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju has revealed the party's plan to teach politics at the varsity level.

Speaking to The Standard, he stated that offering courses in politics will revolutionise its impact on Kenya's leadership.

Already, the party is in talks with four universities to help execute the plans.

“We have a syllabus ready. We will be launching it soon. As a party, we feel that it is part of our duty to redefine our politics,” disclosed Tuju.

“We must get ways of instilling some values in leaders through political education,” he added.

Those who will enroll in the program will be taken through the ruling party's ideals and graduate with a certificate.

The party's plan is borrowed from South Africa's African National Congress (ANC) party which Tuju holds in very high regard.

The CS without portfolio is currently in South Africa for further engagements with ANC.

In a past interview with Kenyans.co.ke, Tuju stated that his primary responsibility in Cabinet is building Jubilee into a strong party that will stand the test of time that many others have failed.

"My primary responsibility at the moment is to build a credible political party and also encourage such initiatives that will support peaceful coexistence in Kenya.

“There is empirical evidence that a strong party is a prerequisite to having a peaceful country. This is evident in Africa in instances like South Africa and Tanzania,” Tuju told this writer.
