A man in Kiambu left behind a suicide note filled with regret after killing his wife and himself.
Albert Mwangi hit his wife Milcah with a blunt object on the head before swallowing poison and hanging himself at their home.
The suicide note addressed to their four children painted the wife as the cause of the man's frustrations.
“I didn’t know that I married a counterfeit wife. I married a Jezebel and her intention was just to steal everything from me.
"She has been threatening me, insulting me, she hated me… The end of the fight is over,” read the note.
He claimed that his wife and her brother were conspiring to rob him of his possessions before killing him.
“Both Milcah and her brother planned to steal everything from me, destroy my life and then kill me,” Albert added.
At the time of their death, the man was in his 50s while Micah was in her late 40s.
Their bodies were moved to the Kenyatta University Hospital morgue and are set to be buried the following in Kangema, Murang’a County.
