Miguna's 6 Explosive Revelations on JKL

Lawyer Miguna Miguna on Wednesday made explosive revelations during his interview with Citizen TV's Jeff Koinange.

It was the first time he was narrating everything that transpired after the launch of the National Resistance Movement to the controversial 'swearing-in' ceremony of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga at Uhuru Park.

He started by stating that he voted for President Uhuru Kenyatta on August 8, 2017, in protest of Odinga's betrayal.

"Raila disappointed me badly. When I worked as his advisor, he betrayed me he kicked me to the curb and betrayed Kenyans' aspirations," Miguna spoke.

Despite voting for the ruling party, Miguna explained that he was committed to swearing in Raila as the people's president to protest the electoral injustice that had happened.

The exiled politician stated that out of the four attempts to swear-in Raila, three were scuttled.

The first ceremony had been scheduled to take place inside Jimmy Wanjigi's house and was to be streamed live. The location was supposed to be secret but Raila "chickened out".

Miguna revealed that the former PM came in late and played games with the NRM team before leaving. Odinga explained that he had spoken with other NASA principals who asked for more time to consider the matter.

The second opportunity was during a people's assembly function in Kilifi County which Raila flew Miguna to.

On landing at Moi International Airport in Mombasa, police officers blocked traffic but Raila's driver was able to use alternative routes to slip out undetected.

Their incognito status was compromised when Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho sent a chase car to escort Miguna. Now aware of Miguna's whereabouts, police officers stopped them dead in their tracks.

The team then started considering conducting the ceremony in Tanzania and Ghana whose presidents were close friends of Odinga.

Two days before the ceremony at Uhuru Park, the team swore in Raila at his home in Karen, which was filmed by Raila Junior.

In this private ceremony, Wanjigi had bought a pen worth Ksh 250,000 which Miguna used to sign the oath.

On the day of the final ceremony at Uhuru Park, Miguna revealed that NASA was so disorganised that they didn't follow the laid out procedure that they had come up with.

Miguna claimed Raila only showed up after seeing the multitude of people who had gathered and was afraid of what the lawyer would instruct them to do.

The original plan was that the people who had gathered would be told to stay put, for however long it would take to make President Uhuru Kenyatta give in to their demands.

In total disregard of Miguna's plans, Raila hastily took the oath and didn't communicate the above instructions to the multitude, before leaving just as fast as he had arrived.

Miguna protested that he struggled to hop into Winnie Odinga's car to be able to leave Uhuru Park and go back to Odinga's residence.
