I Will Be Faithful - DP William Ruto
Deputy President William Ruto, on Saturday, cleared doubts on his faithfulness to the presidency and his boss Uhuru Kenyatta.
Speaking in Nyeri County during the launch of various development projects in the region, the DP vowed that he would remain faithful to his office and that of the president.
"I will be faithful to the responsibility given to me as the Deputy President to support his Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta to deliver on the Jubilee manifesto," he affirmed.
He vowed that he would be on the front line to deliver on projects to do with electricity, water supply, and education.
"Those who have a problem as I do my job, I don't know how I shall you. I am unable to help you," he added.
DP Ruto noted that he would continue with his trips around the country inspecting and launching projects as it was his duty.
"There are many people disturbing me over the many projects I launch. for them I ask them to forgive me because I have work to do which I was given by the citizens," he stated.
His sentiments come after Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru pyublicly expressed her opposition to the DP's campaign tactics.
Addressing a congregation at the Kimorori grounds in Kenol, Murang’a county, the governor revealed that she left the camp due to the DP's two habits.
Waiguru, who was once considered as one of Ruto's key allies, accused the deputy president of engaging in premature campaigns close to three years until the next general elections.
She further claimed that the DP often undermined the president.
