MC Jessy's Heartfelt Confession About Nameless & Wahu

Popular Churchill Show comedian Jasper Muthomi, commonly known as MC Jessy, opened up on how celebrated Kenyan musician couple, The Mathenge’s, comprising of Nameless (David Kamoni Mathenge) and Wahu (Rosemary Wahu Kagwi) supported and lifted him up when he had not made a breakthrough.

Speaking on ‘Churchill Show’, while celebrating Wahu who won her first Groove Award bagging the Music Video of The Year Award since ditching secular for gospel music, Mc Jessy emotionally stated that the songbird used to give him clothes belonging to Nameless.

“One thing that I appreciate the Mathenge’s for, is that they used to invite me into their house and Wahu would tell me to pick a cloth in Nameless’ bedroom. I usually picked the jeans and t-shirts. Imagine Nameless was well-built compared to a skinny me, but they still used to fit me,” Jessy disclosed.

According to the comedian, he was a plaiter (salon guy) before venturing into comedy. He used to fix Nameless and Wahu’s hairs.

“I was a handyman for Nameless. I used to fix his dreadlocks. I even fixed Wahu’s hair at their wedding,” Jessy recalled.

According to Jessy, Nameless and Wahu never had a clue of how his poor background was.

“They didn’t know about my background. For the first time, even before I became a comedian, they made me sleep at a 5 star hotel. That is the Naivasha Country Club,” Jessy revealed.

“I usually ate meat at Wahu’s place and anytime someone asked me where I ate meat last, I told them at Nameless place,” Jessy lightly joked.

MC Jessy went on to pour his blessings on the couple.

“Always know someone somewhere is praying for you two, that you may never part so that when I come over at your place, I won't take clothes. I will reach out for money,” Jessy joked.
