Watch Speaker Muturi Scold MP for Disrespecting Duale in Parliament [VIDEO]

National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi was forced to scold Wajir Woman Representative Fatuma Gedi after she disrespected Majority Leader Aden Duale.

Duale was on the floor arguing his case when, out of the blues, Gedi started making noises and therefore disrupting his speech.

Unimpressed, Muturi gave her a stern warning vowing to kick her out of the chambers if he heard her speaking while another member was on the floor making their contribution.

"Honourable Fatuma Gedi, the next time I hear you shouting when another member is speaking, you will be out of that door.

"I don't want people to get excited about anything. Please, just listen," stated Muturi.

Duale, who was speaking at the time of the incident, took the opportunity to declare that he would be okay with whatever is thrown at him adding that he is not the kind of person who would retaliate.

"Mr speaker I can assure you that even if the ladies in this house slap me I would not slap them. I am a very peaceful man.

"I can tell Fatuma, that I don't play the league of last week. So you can shout but I will not touch you," Duale assured.

On June 13 this year, Gedi was allegedly beaten up by Wajir East MP Rashid Amin at parliament buildings.

It was alleged that Gedi engaged him in a heated discussion before she was assaulted by the MP.

The MP demanded to know why Gedi, who is a member of the budget committee, did not allocate any money to his Wajir East constituency.
